Introduction
Salvation is by believing that Jesus is the Christ, and not of works of
any kind, whether that be by repenting/turning away from sins, or
baptism by water, or prayer, or confession of sins to God or man, or
communion, or loving people, or even to continue believing. These works
are not needed to either be saved, stay saved, or to prove you are
saved, and are not a natural result of salvation. While good works play
no role in eternal life, they are still necessary to love God and
express gratitude to Him for saving you. They are also required to earn
and store eternal treasures in heaven, to avoid punishment in this
lifetime, and to have a good standing at the judgment seat of Christ to
receive glory and honor. Start reading the King James Bible and let it
teach you, so you can start to abide in Christ for His glory, and
become great in the Kingdom of God, but not to enter therein; that is
secure in Christ our Saviour.
